#34: Don't you love it when that happens?!

Ok... so not in the spirit of talking about myself, I saw this picture and saw myself in it... ok well obviously not literally, I know I don't look anything like the person in this picture, but I saw myself in the sense of, yes... of course the color pallet, style of the clothes, her hair (he he, that one is a bit silly)... but more in the wall... the whiteness, subject matter, multiple pinnings/collection of pinnings...
Yesterday I was going through some of my files in my little file box, and found 3 different stuffed file folders full of random pinnings of things I loved or couldn't throw out, that inspired me at the time or still now.  I have multiple pinnings on my fridge, and on my wall in my room... they are actually everywhere... One thing I fight myself on is trying not to be so clutter'y, and have a clean and cleared living space... I'm constantly working and fighting with this... but yet... I can not get rid of the pinnings all over... and seem to hoard them over the years... I still have pinnings from my freshman year of college! Eek! But what I find is that they are like my own kind of journal and memory keepers through the years... that is why I hoard them.  They hold some emotional connection of what inspired me once or had feelings for or even the events in my life at the time.  It was interesting to find a bunch of my old clippings b/c it was like I was reading my old diary or something.  I remembered the time I had them pinned up, where I was at in life, what inspired me then and how its evolved to where I'm at now.  I loved looking through them and held them like they were some old heirloom.  I know, it sounds dramatic, but its kinda the truth.  Eek again...
So then... my point.  I am going to constantly work on keeping my living space clutter free, and clean (even though I'm not the most natural at it, it is very important to me) but totally embracing my own pinning mess.  If I keep it to minimal spaces, it should be ok... right?!

                                                                +Ciao friends+

p.s. if you have a little example of your own kind of hoarding memory keeping thing... please share!! don't keep me on my own ;)

#33: Music Monday, not so Munday

Iron and Wine
one of my most favorites... have in the background.
I loved this video, because of the song of course, but also because I love dancing and dancers.  If I come back in another life, I hope to be a dancer... a professional one... I know I already am a dancer, just not the kind that is respected ;)....also, just thought it was beautiful. The rhythm, the flow, the look of it.

I love the words and melody in this... The video itself cracks me up... looks like a close group of goofballs, which is great. So thankful for my friends and the love they share to me... such an incredible gift.  And of course... love it when we can be total dorks together!!

Weekend: grey sweatshirt

Pinned Image

Pinned Image

Grey sweatshirt. Flawless, simple make-up, and messy hair.  Perfect comf for the weekend.  And not so tight on the "after Thanks-giving belly".  Just make sure to add some contrast to the laid back style, with something sleek...a.k.a. your make-up... like in the top photo... it adds some "care" to it.  Or if not your make-up, fancy shoes, like in bottom photo... or if not fancy shoes... a leather jacket... you get the picture.  Just one put-together item mixed with the contrast of your weekend sweats can make a big difference in how you feel and look... to combine a balance of relax but not lazy. Although at the moment, i'm feeling a bit more on the lazy side ;)

+Ciao friends and hope you are enjoying delish leftovers
from the wonderfully warm and yummy holiday.+

ps.  Can't wait to see this movie... saw the theatrical version of this at the new lovely and amazing theater that we have here in Walla Walla... So fun to go to a drama/play and watch incredible actors in person.  Completely different experience than watching it on a big screen... although I like that too.

#30: walking finds at the good.

Yes, I went to my big G here in town.  The top picture I thought to be so artful and nice, so no, the shoes above are not mine.  Sadly.  But low and behold, the ones down below are mine.  I found these totally unique and unused cowhide booty shoes... those slipper/80's shoes I keep seeing around, ( I finally caved and decided I wanted to try this shoe style...I keep seeing them paired in such adorable ways) well found a couple of those, and one pair that is made in Italy! Its always so much more of a treasure when you see "made in italy" at goodwill.  Even though I know its not that uncommon... I feel that I'm wearing something that has been somewhere and has a little story.

Counting down to Thanksgiving... Already feeling overwhelmed by thankfulness.
love to all

#29: Reader Birthday

Its my friend, Kimi's birthday tomorrow.  Since I was able to stalk her a bit and track down a recent picture of her and a compilation of clothes she put together, I thought it perfect to post her on her birthday. She is always thinking of new and fun ways to put things together and just has a good eye for what looks good on her body, and with a budget too!  She also has a blog and whenever a loved one or friend has a birthday she writes these lovely little bits and pieces of words/memories along with a pretty little photo or photo clusters of that person.  So I thought it would be nice to return the thought for this creative, loving and faithful friend. Here is her comfy little outfit she posted of herself on her blog...

Below is a little message for her...

Happy Birthday Lovely!

p.s.  I hope you have a spectacular day on the 21 of November and have a little fairy tale of your own.  Birthday's are one of the most special kinds of celebrations...To be thankful for everything one can experience up to this point in their life... and although we may get to that time, when we are freaking out that age has crept up on us faster than we expected, just think of all the little paths, trails, and blooms you've had up to the present point in your own journey of your own story you are making.  Its absolutely fabulous! Continue to grow strong, go out on a limb from time to time, and most of all give and receive love. Ciao darling.  Have an Italian type of loveliness today.

#27: Paris in my dream

I know we do not live in Paris, and I know... I know... every girl seems to claim some kind of cliche little "Paris fetish" or at least a lot of girls do, but looking around at so many inspirational and gorgeous settings while seeing such lovely, creative and unique street fashion... how could I not want to go there! So I know if you do read this blog, you won't see it until later tomorrow, or even after that, whenever you do see it, make your day in some way, (as the quote above says) Ridiculously amazing.  In a Paris kind of way.  Set it off by shopping in your closet after a quick little par-oo-sing of the internet of paris girls on the streets.  Then grab yourself a quick espresso (tea if you don't drink the dark stuff) and make your day super great no matter what the grind.  I know its not easy. Trust me. But try for me ok?! ok. So Happy Tuesday night to you. and...
                                                                 +au revoir mon ami's+
ps. Anyone recognize my favorite french girl in this post? Yes, Miss Garance herself.

#26: Reader find

Pinned Image

Look at this cutie!! This lovely reader has a wealth of knowledge of some great little 2nd use clothing shops from downtown Portland.  Here is what she told me about this adorable top she is wearing. And thank you Tarna for the kind words you shared with me about the blog.  So nice to have such lovely people reading and encouraging :)  +Ciao friends and Happy Monday+

"B & I found this striped sweatshirt a couple of weeks ago while looking for Halloween costume stuff. We didn't find anything for our costumes, but we found this & had to have it, plus it fits both of us. So it's my weekend sweatshirt. Got it @ The Red Light on Hawthorne."

Weekend: sweetness.

Pinned Image

Its once again my favorite of the week.  Weekend. This weekend is dedicated to enjoying the simple pleasures of life. I love the round glasses at top.  I am bound to get some as soon as I can find the one's I can afford and want.  I really liked the feminine wallet. I love these fragrances...if you have never had the chance to let your nose smell of there beauty make your way to the perfume bar and have little spritz.    Both of them are a favorite of mine.  And I love this white dress, black around and brown accent.  Very feminine and strong.
A little song you should listen to this weekend to encourage on the little pleasures/confections of life is, La Vie en Rose, by good old Louis Armstrong.
